TRAINING POLICIES

*LATE PICK-UP POLICY

Any dog owner that arrives after 6:00pm to pick up will be charged a $10.00 convenience fee. Although we attempt to accommodate schedules, we do have a boarding routine with our overnight dogs to complete.

General Policy:

#1: The Dog Company, LLC will endeavor to create as safe an environment as possible for the training and boarding care of the dog(s) identified above (the “Dog”), and will offer only sound, safe, and responsible training, care, and post-boarding training instructions. Owner agrees however, that all animals may exhibit unpredictable behaviors and that The Dog Company will not be liable for the actions of the Dog that are outside of the control of The Dog Company. Owner agrees that the recommendation by The Dog Company of any product or service is not a guarantee of performance or Owner’s satisfaction with that product or service.

#2: The Dog Company agrees to indemnify and hold Owner harmless from and against any claims of injury, expense, costs, loss or damages caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of The Dog Company while the Dog is in the sole custody, care, and control of The Dog Company. Owner acknowledges that The Dog Company has no control over the Dog when the Dog is not in the exclusive custody, care, and control of The Dog Company and Owner agrees to indemnify and hold The Dog Company harmless from and against any and all claims of injury, expense, costs, loss, or damages caused by the actions of the Dog when the Dog is not in the sole custody, care, and control of The Dog Company.

#3: Owner acknowledges and agrees that owning any animal, including the Dog, has inherent risks, including, but not limited to the risk of dog bites to the Owner.

#4: Owner fully understands the tools and techniques that are used to train and modify the behavior of their dog and agrees to the tools and techniques which include Prong Collar, Bark Collar, Remote Training Collar, Slip Lead, Pet Convincer, Muzzles, Flat Buckle Collar, Martingale Collar, Slip Collar, Back Ties, Crates, Treadmills, Cots, Dressage Whip, Clickers, Shake Cans.

Payment and Cancellation Policy:

Payment Policy: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the full Program cost is due to reserve a spot on the schedule.

Cancellation Policy for Session Programs: Up-to the second training session, we will refund 50%, after the second session no refund will be issued. If The Dog Company feels that the Client will not listen to his training advice, he can choose to cancel the contract and refund 25% of the Client’s money.

Physical Activity Agreement:

Your dog will be staying at a working kennel your dog spends a good amount of time in the outside world doing lots of things around lots of natural objects, dirt, grass, cement, trees, fencing, bushes, crates, water, interacting with other dogs and humans, and it is likely that your dog is going to get scratched, bumped, or bruised. Things are bound to happen even though we have taken special care in designing our facility and maintaining a high standard of safety and cleanliness.

As Owner, you acknowledge and understand that there are certain risks involved in pet training, boarding, and care. You release, indemnify, and agree to hold The Dog Company harmless from any and all manner of damages, claims, loss, liabilities, costs or expenses, causes of actions or suits, whatsoever in law or equity, (including, without limitation, attorney’s fees and related costs) arising out of or related to the services provided by The Dog Company.

 

Extended Absence

In the event you have to be away longer than planned it is mandatory that we hear from you! We will only accept extensions of service by direct confirmation. Please also send any changes in writing to our email info@thedogcompany.dog. Extra charges will be made to the card on file as necessary.

 

Abandonment Clause

If you cease communication past the designated pick up date/time scheduled for your dog, your rate of boarding will increase $150 a day with additional food charges as needed. If the dog remains past five days with no communication, we will assumed you have abandoned your pet(s) and will be turning them over to the local Humane Society for Stray hold.

 

Other Boarding Information

You are expected to provide all food & medicines necessary for the care of your animal as well as a detailed schedule for medicine administration.

Medicine administration will have an extra charge

If food needs to be provided an additional charge of $20 a day will be billed.

Your dog needs to be wearing a quick release collar with ID Tags and a leash.

Your dogs stay will be a very structured stay. We are a training company and will only do things to enhance the dogs calm state of mind and obedience.

We request at least two additional phone numbers for emergency contacts in addition to all owners.

Authorized Persons for Pick-Up

If someone other than yourself or another owner of the dog is picking up from the facility, that person must either be listed on your registration form as authorized to pick-up, or we must know at drop off. ID will need to be presented by the person picking up for verification before staff can release your dog. NO EXCEPTIONS!
